As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, we are looking for a General Manager in the Medical Services Division to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will lead both the sales and technical teams and be an integral part of the Executive Committee. Your main objectives will be to increase market share, sales, and brand visibility in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Responsibilities:
Supervise sales and marketing activities to achieve corporate revenue targets.
Plan and allocate daily tasks to the sales team.
Develop innovative sales techniques to foster business growth and profitability.
Conduct interviews, hire, and train sales representatives as needed.
Ensure that staff members are trained and competent in the full range of products.
Respond promptly to escalated customer complaints.
Understand customer needs and propose product modifications to meet those needs.
Address customer inquiries regarding the company's products and services.
Identify potential customers and cultivate strong relationships with existing ones.
Represent the company's brand at sales conferences and trade shows.
Identify effective selling strategies and opportunities to boost revenue.
Develop quarterly and annual sales forecasts, gross and net operating profits, and expenses.
Provide monthly sales estimates to the Managing Director.
Stay informed and updated on legislation and regulations pertaining to the healthcare industry in all relevant markets.
Ensure effective management of significant projects at customer sites.
Regularly update sales forecasts to enhance inventory planning accuracy.
Plan procurement activities to maintain optimal stock levels for the company and distributors.
Collaborate with the Credit Management team to review the debtors book and ensure timely collection of customer debt.
Job Requirements:
Minimum NQF6 Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business management, healthcare management, or biomedical engineering
At least 10 years of experience in the Medical Imaging Sales industry
Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior management positions
Willingness and ability to travel globally to oversee business operations from a global perspective (e.g., Dubai, China, etc.)
