As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Administration Clerk (Roaming) based in NorthCliff, Sandton, South Africa. The Medical Administration Clerk is to deliver expert day-to-day activities related to the overall management of the following workflow categories: Appointment management, Electronic Medical Records management, Patient management, Internal and External Client Relationship management, Schedule management and Unit Administration. The role has been designed as a relief position to support the role of Medical Receptionist and medical administration Clerk, at four (4) practices. The employee must ensure the effective and efficient management of the Front Desk or the Administration office, at all four (4) units, with a strong focus on patient flow, workflow management and positive relationship building with both the internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
Answering phones and reception duties
Meet patients on arrival and create a welcoming environment
Manage patients from arrival to departure
Handle difficult patients
Diary management and appointments
Follow ups with patients
Maintain the electronic medical records on Elixir
Filing
Assisting with adhoc duties as required
Manage good relationships with various suppliers, staff and management
Job Requirements:
Matric
2-3 Years appropriate previous experience in a role of similar nature would be advantageous.
Sound Clinical knowledge regarding cancer terminology and report handling is a must.
Data capturing ability must be proven
Must be able to speak, read and write Afrikaans
Location: Based in Sandton but roaming between all 4 practices
