Psychologist

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for two Psychologist based in Kenilworth, Cape Town, South Africa.  The Psychologist is to deliver expert psychological support, assessment, and therapy to individuals recovering from substance abuse, addiction, or various physical and mental health conditions. 

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate group sessions in the therapeutic programme 

• Conduct individual sessions with patients 

• Conduct conjoint sessions with patients' families 

• Participation in all groups to gain an understanding of the programme and be able to facilitate various groups when required 

• Assess/Interview patients 

• Carry out administrative tasks 

• Report writing 

• Liaise with multi-disciplinary team 

Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Psychology 

• Current HPCSA registration in place

• Experience within a psychiatric and/or addiction environment/hospital 

• Awareness of evidence base for interventions 

• Good written and spoken English language skills 

• Effective interdisciplinary team worker 

• Computer literate 

• BHF Registration will be an advantage 

Working hours

• Mon- Fri (08h00 - 17h00)

• Saturday and public holidays on a rotating basis

Location: Kenilworth , Cape Town

Salary is market related
