The Opportunity
As a Paediatric Radiologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services to our young patients. You will participate in a variety of clinical duties, including routine reporting, procedural work, and providing consultative and advisory services to clinicians. This role offers the chance to be involved in multidisciplinary meetings and to contribute to ongoing education and research activities within the department.
What will I do?
Provide diagnostic imaging services, including consultations and participation in clinical meetings.
Offer guidance on the appropriateness of special investigations based on clinical needs.
Participate in quality assurance programs relevant to Paediatric Radiology.
Contribute to the training of radiology registrars and other hospital staff.
Engage in research and development activities, fostering innovation and improvement in the department.
Support career development through continuing education, both locally and internationally.
What will I need?
Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or equivalent.
Proven clinical experience at the post-registrar/fellowship level in radiology.
Strong knowledge of IS-based systems, including PACS.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Experience or interest in paediatric radiology, with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes for children.
